Local Meetings
The service area of the Heart of Texas OA Intergroup is defined as within 50 miles of the state capitol. This covers a lot of territory in Central Texas. There are meetings over 50 miles from Austin which are associated with the Heart of Texas OA Intergroup, usually in areas where there are not enough meetings to support a local intergroup.
The calendar below includes all of the OA groups associated with the Heart of Texas OA Intergroup. Please send updates about your meeting to [email protected]

To protect our meetings from being interrupted by intruders, most of the Heart of Texas OA Intergroup Zoom meetings require members to sign into zoom.us. You may create a Zoom account without cost for this purpose, or you can login using your Google or Apple accounts.
Some meetings may choose to allow people to join without logging in to Zoom, but will place them in a "waiting room" to be admitted to the meeting by one of the hosts. No Zoom account is required for joining a meeting via telephone. We realize that such security measures can complicate connecting to a meeting. Since virtual meeting access information is publicly available, there is a real problem with intruders who can disrupt the meeting and threaten the safe environment we all expect at an OA meeting. Each group determines its policies for access and security. Any questions about the requirements to connect to a Zoom meeting should be directed to the contact person for that group. The San Diego OA Intergroup has excellent guides for using Zoom at https://oasandiego.org/zoom/. |
